Valued Patients,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and spirits.  We know that our community has been through a lot during the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines.  While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and we have always taken pride in not only meeting, but exceeding, the requirements from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  Scheduled wiping of door handles and common areas, use of hospital grade disinfectants, frequent handwashing and deep sanitizing rooms and equipment have been measures that we have always taken and will continue to do so moving forward.

During our time away from patient care, our team has worked diligently to implement solutions to the new reality that we are experiencing today.  Our response to Covid-19 is comprehensive and meticulous.  Here are a few things that we are doing to keep you safe:

Facility Enhancements:

-Medical grade HEPA air purifiers placed in each operatory

-Hand sanitizer stations readily available throughout the office

-Reception area reorganized for detailed sanitation

-Implementation of enclosed cup/paper towel holders

-Additional high vacuum evacuation systems implemented in each operatory

-99% Isopropyl Alcohol spray for oral appliance adjustments

Contactless protocols:

-Paperless payment options

-Paperless patient forms available to you via phone/computer

-Curbside check-ins and stand-by in the comfort of your car for appointments to promote social distancing

-Contactless thermometers for temperature checks

Upgraded PPE:

-Replacement of conventional masks with N95 masks

-Upgraded eye protection including goggles/face shields

-Closed jackets and hair bouffants for all clinical team members

Additionally, in order to allow for proper social distancing, we will be restructuring our schedule and seeing a lower volume of patients.  Therefore, appointment availability will be limited.  We will do our best to accommodate everyone and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work on getting all of your dental appointments back on track.  If you had an appointment scheduled with us during our time of closure, a member of our team will be reaching out to reappoint you.  You will also receive an email outlining our new protocol and policies for your upcoming appointment.

Thank you for your trust and confidence in our practice.  We look forward to welcoming you back and seeing your smiling faces again.  We’ve missed you!

Sincerely,

Dr. Kulangara and the Advanced Dental Arts Team
